I've decided to translate this drama since I really enjoy the vibe and it's short. The subtitles are already pre-timed from Jpsubbers so it doesn't take up much of my time.
I'm not entirely sure if anyone has actually picked this up but if there is, I might stop since I'm only doing this because I haven't seen the english subtitles anywhere yet.
Also, I need to drop the obligatory "English is not my first language and I'm still learning Japanese so do expect mistakes".
My files will only be in .ass because it's heavy on my laptop right now to hard-sub them.
These subtitles sync by the raws provided by amachoco, which can be obtained here: https://naniwadanshi.livejournal.com/8445.html.
If you have MagicStar's raws, those will work too!
My files are also named after amachoco's raw files so it'll open automatically when both files are placed in the same folder.
After the first few minutes in episode 1, I broke a lot of lines to two because I thought it would be easier to read/skim. But if it's counter-productive and harder to read, do let me know!
Enjoy!
Episode 1:

I would like to credit Anata no Motokare's scanlating team for their explanation on gyokusui and meisui <3
MEGA: EPISODE 1
Episode 2:

MEGA: EPISODE 2
I quite enjoyed this episode because it's really wholesome and we get more screen time with Kinako! hehe.

MEGA: EPISODE 3
This time we get to learn a little about Tsubaki. No savoury meals this time, but you might crave for something sweet!
Also, I would like to say a Prosperous and Happy Chinese New Year/Happy Lunar New Year to those who are celebrating! :)

MEGA: EPISODE 4
Now when I decided to sub this show, I did it because of the comfort it brings me. I don't want to make any assumptions since I've never read the manga or watched the anime.
So I definitely did not expect that I'd be subbing a possible BL fluff but here we are, guys! This series said fuck social norms :D

PSA: This show is available on certain regions on Netlfix and will mostly like be available to more countries after the show's over. Please do support the show once they are available in your country.
Another PSA: There may be a delay in next week's episode because my best friend's getting married next Sunday. But my country's pandemic situation has gotten worse in a such a short time that I'm not entirely sure what's going to happen. Anyhow, stay safe everyone!
MEGA: EPISODE 5
Everyone in this show has no sense of personal space.
Another wholesome and heartfelt episode this time. A thoughtful daughter with a concerned father - could make some of you cry.
The food looks GOOD though. You won't need salt if you eat and ended up crying while watching this episode.
Also, I do appreciate and read everyone's comments! Please do keep them coming! <3
I also quite enjoy reading people's discussions of the show too, so I don't mind discussions at all. Just put spoiler tags if there are any! :)

Once again, sorry for the delay! When I said that it would be late, I didn't expect to be one-week later tbh. Weddings are exhausting eventhough I wasn't heavily involved in it but it was lmao.
Without further ado, here's the link.
MEGA: EPISODE 6
We get a very slight glimpse of Gure's upbringing and why he's a damn busybody - but in a good way.
Enjoy as I work on Episode 7! hehe.

We are finally back on track to Sunday releases!
The past episodes have probably made you cry but I think this is the most tearjerker episode so far. There's something about seeing a grown man cry...
MEGA: EPISODE 7
We learn about Tokitaka's past and why he's quite reserved. Honestly, my heart reaches out to him so much. Maybe prepare some tissue?

The biggest crime this episode has committed is not only was there one, but TWO comfort meals being served (Ok there were multiple comforting meals shown in episode 2, but the ones here are the most relatable for me). I was translating this on an empty stomach lmao. Can this show be anymore wholesome? I can't believe we're only left with two more episodes.
